Sometimes I find myself thinking "Did we? Did we REALLY cycle 50 miles?"
Sometimes, I just want to press pause and have every day like this.
I've not done much cycling this season, so I grabbed a couple of cereal bars, filled a water bottle, and headed off in search of faraway lands.
The council are at it again cutting the cost of parking in Swindon Town Centre. I understand the economics and I agree that it's good to get people into town, but, as always, isn't throwing the money at car usage incredibly short sighted?
This week has scared me. It's made me nervous. It's made me consider where, how and even IF I use my bicycle as transport. I'd like to tell you why, and I'd like you, if you can, to help.
I've not been hit or hurt at all, but the sheer lack of space and thoughfulness on the part of drivers has really shaken me up to the point where I'm really considering my options.
Well there you go then Mr Phillips - you're transport secretary and you won't cycle because it's too dangerous. I think you have identified one of the key problems that you need to sort out.
Velib is in no way half-hearted, it's a real, serious form of public transport in Paris.
I'm actually doing quite well on the exercise front of late.
